Applicants must demonstrate their knowledge of construction and be able to identify hundreds of construction defects. Besides the prerequisite requirement to have done at least 250 inspections and the preceding training, the certification exam is 6 hours long. ASHI certified inspectors subscribe to the highest professional standards and code of ethics and they maintain their level of knowledge by participating in a required program of continuing education.

Our inspectors work for you. On the day of the inspection, our inspector will meet with you and point out defects and conditions that that may lead to component failure. We'll help you understand how different systems operate and the type of maintenance that is necessary in order to provide adequate maintenance.
