Our Inspectors are highly trained/Full-time Certified Members of ASHI, the American Society of Home Inspectors. ASHI Members are the highest trained in the industry. As you shop around, ask if the inspector is a certified member of ASHI because the last thing that you want is a trainee or someone just learning!
Here's an interesting bit of information … Of the 500 or so licensed inspectors in CT… fewer than 1/3 are certified members of ASHI … Most inspectors simply do not have the level of knowledge necessary to pass the ASHI exam!
Another important thing is insurance. Most inspectors only carry the minimum type of insurance called Liability. That does not cover you in the event that something is overlooked! Errors & Omission Insurance cover our Inspections and so if something is overlooked, you're covered!
